    (310 items)

These three items were dug out of an old dump. They are clear glass, measure 2” in length and appear to be threaded on the end. I took two photographs, one with flash and one without flash, for contrast. I do not have a clue what they are, if you do, please let me know.
    enjoy

I hope someone will tell us what these are as I have two myself. My Dad told me what they were but at the time I was very young.

looks like they would relate to insulators or railroadiana - somehow that piece screwed into something and wire was wrapped around the two top arms? I'm very curious as well...

they look like threaded glass insulators to me. Here is a listing for reference only with similar items:

I'd like to see them in position though, as most insulators were the larger, bell-shaped threaded type.

Is the threaded portion around 3/8" in dia.?
The lugs seem like they are made to lash something to it.

this pieces are for Neon Signs and are missing a metal piece that attack to the porcelain sign, then the Neon Glass are fixed whit cooper wires on the top of these pieces... you could cut the glass in the high when need a better Neon installation...

They quite possiblly were used thru. walls or floors, I have seen some similar but the heads were shaped more like a hex or bolt head. These may be refered to as a "rams head" though I'm not sure. Thank you posting, A nice find!
