This is from a set of 6 place settings that I believe were my grandmothers. I know nothing about it and was hoping for some help. I believe it is Depression Glass amber in color, but I know nothing about the pattern. A unique feature exists on both the creamer and sugar bowl (shown), it's legs are in the shape of a fish head or possible sea creature? Any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks!!
What you have is Heisey Empress pattern #1401 in the Sahara color produced circa 1930-1938. These are considered "Elegant" glass although produced during the Depression era. And you are correct, some of the pieces are dolphin-footed. Hope this helps.
WOW, yes it helps. THANKS!!!
Well then glad to help. You're lucky to have the set in such good condition.
I have a collection of pink depression glass and do not know how to sell it, any suggestions?
