Does anyone know how I would have an unsigned Faberge' Brooch -Lapel Pin authenticated? And.... Would this be a true representation of Guilloche'? It is very heavy on the clear enamel. I am also not sure if it is Silver or Gold. After my Grandmother passed, Mom and I were going through her Jewelry Box and I can remember Mom saying, "hang on to this - it will be worth a pretty penny someday - it's Faberge" I had no idea what Faberge' was back then. She also gave me another Brooch that I will post after this, since it is also a Mystery on what to call it??? I'll title it "Grandmothers Brooch"

I am not sure what this pretty pin has origins in...the back looks more modern (this century) to me. Perhaps a good local jeweler can help?

Hello, I have not the intention to dissapoint you but in my country (Europe) there were in the 60'and 70' such brooches. I had one or two myself and they were certainly not Faberge.

Once again, if you wish I can send you some photos of the same kind of brooches from my archive. But then I need your private mail address!

Well I did quite a bit of reading about the Faberge Family and have come to the conclusion this is not anything close to Faberge'. Maybe Mom was talking about something else. I get mixed up pretty easy these days. Thanks everyone for your input. Great info!

Yes, its a piece of costume jewelry, that hatchmark finish on the back is a dead giveaway that its not gold or silver

It is modern. I have one of these that I got new in the late 80s from a fashion store.

SortingLooms, it is still a really pretty pin. Find the perfect outfit and wear it out. You will get compliments galore.
