I found these 3 beautiful Iridescent bows wrapped in a blanket in a box lot I purchased at a local estate auction along with some other antique English Royal Warwick dinner ware and Mc Coy pottery. I have searched for many hours trying to find info. on them and have had no luck. I believe they are pre 1920's Imperial smooth Ray Marigold bowls but am not certain. They are beautiful piece with no chips or cracks, great fire in the Iridescent glass. the smooth rims go from an light orange marigold color to bright gold looking depending on the light angles and brightness. 1 bowl measures 12" across on the top and 2 measure 7" Any info on them and there possible value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob

Your mixing bowls were by Federal Glass and first made around the Depression era.

Thanks for the Info Tall Cakes!!! Any info, on what they called the pattern? and possible value? I hate having expensive glass around with the grand kids. Things always tend to get chipped or damaged especially pretty shinny stuff. Cheap worthless stuff last forever but if it has value it's like painting a bulls eye on it. P.L.

some folks do call the pattern "Ribbed" but it appears Federal only gave it a number and sold as mixing bowls. Typically they do not fetch a great sum but a set might do better; you could check Federal mixing bowls on eBay for a general idea on value. I really like the photos you have here; they make the set looks very much like copper.

Thanks again tall cakes, They are a nice set of bowls and do have a lot of "fire" in the glass if they have the right light and angles. However like all this type of glass light and angle changes everything. Have a safe, happy summer and stay cool! Thanks again P.L.
