This sideboard is solid cherry construction with walnut construction on the interior, cherry burl, with ivory keyholes. Most sideboards I have seen are made of mahogany. Could this have been a special order. On the the back clearly legible is "Mrs". The picture of the dovetails added...10 inch
drawer-6 dovetails.
Woods are regional-- in my area, we see a considerable amount of solid cherry furniture.
Can you post a jpg of the drawer dovetails?

It looks like what I expected from quality 19th century construction! Hand cut dovetails and chamfered drawer bottom-- beautiful.
You've got an exceptional piece that shows quality throughout.
With its size, it is not as desirable to some, but I have always loved these.
