This is a traditional Japanese Kimono dyed (Yuzen) handkerchief.
Yuzen is a traditional industrial art object of Kyoto and Kaga (Ishikawa Prefecture). It is dyeing technique devised in the Edo period by Yuzensai Miyazaki. Only a traditional craftsman can make these.
The size is about 44cm. This hankie does not have a seal tag attached.
Thanks so much for looking.
Does anyone know a source for these in America?
After reading your post about living in Japan, I thought you might enjoy these.
