This was one of the first signs I purchased on eBay, before I had any clue. I believe I paid $100 + $100 shipping, something like that. I enjoyed it then and even enjoyed it some months later when I realized it probably wasn't the best purchase I ever made! :) It fills some wall space in the transition area between the finished and storage area of our basement. I look at it every time I go for a cold bottle of Coke from the fridge back there. It's fun to look at and it reminds me that learning is a huge part of the experience of collecting. So it's a meaningful piece to me. Even if it is large. And rough. And I paid too much for it. And... :)
I hear ya Dave, learning is always the most important part of this hobby but I actually don't think you did anything wrong compared to what we've all seen here and elsewhere over the years. I really like the bigger signs too, you can always find space in your space and mine, for a few more!
Thats the problem with ebay, the shipping makes some items not worth getting. 100$ for this sign would have been a fine deal, but the 100$ shipping is were the deal gets sour. Still a nice large sign looks like it was made just before the wave logo came out.
