I previously posted a couple of Kralik utility pieces, so here are (most) of my Loetz, or probably Loetz, jugs and glasses. I like the combination of utility and beauty - and since it is Wimbledon fortnight it's the right time to use them! Pimms anyone?
The pink Rusticana was the first piece I ever bought that I knew was definitely Loetz - thanks to Alfredo - even though it was described as a Victorian cranberry jug. The green neptune is also a definite Loetz.
The amber and clear jugs in the same shape both have polished pontils, and the right "feel" so I believe they are the Loetz version - pictured on page 585 of Ricke II, showing production number 3175 - rather than the similar jugs made by Ruckl, Kralik, Palda...
And then there's the final clear crackle jug. Same "feel" as the other clear jug, polished pontil, and very similar to the fourth jug on page 585, so I would guess that is Loetz too - until someone tells me different! Best thing is that the final jug came with a set of half pint beer mugs - I mean Pimms cups - two pictured.

And then there's the vaseline spiraloptisch - but that's a milk jug, so it doesn't go with these. Separate post? Oh why not!

Thank you Obscurities - you're on! Cucumber and strawberries in your Pimms? Or just mint? If I see another one, I assume you don't want to know about it ... I found mine three days after Al bagged his, also on UK eBay!

Thank you Scandi! Sangria, Gamay, chilled Alsatian Pinot noir - it all works! The crackle pieces look great with lots of ice.
They do look fab in the sunshine - but you see the detail better in the cloudy shots. It's a tough call. Equally tough - more posts of these pieces, or more posts of different pieces?

I own one of the amber and clear ones in pink- my first piece of Loetz that I found at a yard sale for $2.

I recall your post, Woman34 - you should give us some better pics, really showing off that pink! So, how many more people want to join the "My first piece of Loetz was a pink jug" club? We're pretty exclusive, you know!

I'll do my best, Scandi - busy in Court this week though, so it may take some time to take the pics.

Thank you Al! Pimms is a British alcoholic drink made with a base formula, I suppose an alcoholic cordial for want of a better word, called Pimms No 1, diluted with lemonade or ginger ale, depending on preference, and served with lots of ice, fresh mint sprigs, cucumber, and various fruit such as orange, apple or strawberry. Sort of like a summer punch. Very British, very summer, archetypal Wimbledon, Henley Regatta, picnics, croquet etc. It brings back memories of punting at Oxford after finals ...

      Hi LLL
Pretty sure my first genuine Loetz piece was a pink Moser jug as well ... came up at a Heritage Auction during my Lalique phase ... put in a live bid on eBay from memory ... is a nice piece ...
Link to Loetz was unconfirmed at the time ... remember feeling relieved when Alfredo added the page to his website ...
... funny the things that head you in a different direction ...
      Cheers
