This early 1930's alarm clock was made by Viking Products, maker of the "Moon-glo" clocks. This one only credits The Hammond Clock Co. on the ID tag. The case is black Bakelite, and the face is a 1/4 inch thick piece of glass into which the numerals were cut. The hands are finished with silver wrinkle-type paint, and the numerals were filled with the same silver paint. A small light bulb in the base shines up through the glass to illuminate the numerals. As with all Hammond clocks, it was necessary to spin a small knob on the back to start the motor (http://www.uv201.com/framepage1.htm).

This is such a rare clock. I owned one previously and can only recall seeing two or three ever over the years, but I am sure there are few more out there.
