This awesome clock was something my mom found at a local value village over 40 years ago and my uncle was smart enough not to let her sell it at the swapmeet like she does with all her cool finds to make a buck. She is the type who finds the coolest things and figures if she only paid $30 for it and gets $250 than that's a good day for her. My uncle has aquired many neat things from her over the years that she found at thrift shops or garage sales and now when I go to his house I look at her and ask her why you could sell something like this for so cheap and she said that's what happens when you need to pay bills :) now when she finds these treasures I make sure she does not just give the stuff away for too cheap. This clock is amazing and is about 2 feet tall. If anyone knows what kind of clock this is I would love to know.
Beautiful clock!
In order to help identify your clock, please provide the following:
Any and all information printed, stamped or labeled on the dial, movement, case and pendulum. This includes names, trademarks, serial/model/patent numbers and dates.
How often does it need to be re-wound?
Measurements of the dial and case. Please take measurements at the longest, widest, and deepest points only.
Well lit photos of the entire case, with close-ups of the dial, movement and any labels, stamps or signatures.
This information will be very helpful, but it still may not lead to a definitive model or date.
Regards
The next time I'm at his house I will get some photos of the works and measurements.
Hi Furee65, at this point I would have to guess that it is a French clock. Hopefully there will be something on the movement, or works.
