These are four of my more favorite National Geographic Coca-Cola ads. The first picture is from April of 1933; the second is from September of 1933; the third is from June of 1950; and lastly the fourth is from April of 1954.
National Geographic Coca-Cola advertisements were made between 1933-1965 and then four more between 1977-1979. All in all they made 188 ads.
I bought a lot of about 340 National Geographic magazines for $30 and received about 100 Coca-Cola ads. I have them in acid free page protectors in binders.
A post from Phil Mooney on Coca-Cola Conversations says that individual ads are worth between $2-$5. If these prices are still current, I have about $200-$500 worth of National Geographic Coca-Cola ads.
I love the old magazine and periodical ads. Great way to see how their marketing strategies and target audiences developed over the years. I've found them useful for reference comparing to signs or other ad pieces of period, as an additional authenticity check. Nice to pick up an entire collection in one transaction, well done Pemberton.
Thanks Signaholic and Daddy_Nobucks. Everytime I would walk into a antique shop, I would always see some coke ads and everytime I would think of buying one but they were always like $10 a piece; now I have about 100 ads for the price of three individual ads.
