I do not know what this says in Chinese? It is 17" X 18". I do not know how old it is either. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Don Boyd donboyd49@gmail.com

Hi, Toracat! Is this embroidered, or is it rather printed onto linen, or other fabric?I see a fabric weave that is present even in the filled-in forms, and I don't see any embroidery. However, it's only a photo, and we all know how misleading those can be. This is a very beautiful image. I love it. Wish I knew something about it, but sorry I don't.
I will take another photo!
Hi MiKKo I love this, the artist use lighter thread to make some trees look farther away! toracat
Hi, toracat! Oh, I think I see the embroidery now. Much of the image will have been painted onto a corded fabric, and then some/many areas are embellished with embroidery - I think. Hard for me to tell for sure from the photo - which is much better!, thank you! Are the embroidered areas of the trees like carpet? Do they project outwards from the flat surface of the picture, something like a crewcut perhaps? Very beautiful image!!!
Hi it is tightly done, the trees are only 1 1/2" tall he or she use darker thread for close trees and lighter or Less thread to make look farther away. The threads are wrapped around the tiny rows of material. thanks for looking
Hi, toracat! This must be a splendid piece! I'm sorry that I cannot see well enough to help with it. It must be something unlike any I've seen! You're most welcome, sir!
thanks!
Hello miKKo I took this apart today, and it is a painting, well I am sure. I wonder why they paint on this material. It seems silkish, It has red Chinese hallmark in corner. also painted. Maybe worth more as painting than embroidery?
