I dont know where dad found these. The large cartridges are marked, 451 44 avu & 48 91 c wg. The smaller ones is marked WT 1942. I'm sure dad brought these back from his time in the eighth Air Force as a bombardier on a B-17. All have primers were made in the casings drilled to remove the powder.
I'm not a cartridge collector, but these are neat pieces. Thanks for showing them.

Those are a great collection of items! Are the square nails hand forged, or machine made? I have several bullets that look a lot like the horizontal bullet in center, photo three.
I really love them.
Drilling primers out is risky business. 3 rds r 20 m/m which have explosive projectiles. You might want to ck that out as well.
