Im easily amazed it seems, this is an example: They made as many of these glass inserts as they did porcelain gas pump plates. Ok, u got me, matbe they made (just a few) more of these. but the 1950s-60s was the start of the "out with the old, in with the new" era.Point being, brand logos were commonly replaced. This went for both items, but the dys of the glass insert ended BEFORE the porcelain pump sign did.HERES the head scratcher, these GLASS (easily broken) pannels sell for dollars on e-bay,where as the (lasting decades) porcelain pump sign sells for HUNDREDS! Maybe its my A.D.H.D. logic, but that not compute.
thank u stonesfan 1 , EJW-54 , officialfuel , Sean , chevy & gargoyle for stoppin & lookin. Mikie
