Don't really know too much about this watch. I do know that it was made sometime around 1880. It is stamped on the inside cover trademark no. 1. Would really like to know the value and some more detail about this watch. Can anyone help with that?

Your watch was made in 1881. It is an 11-jewel Waltham, Wm. Ellery model "77"
"quick train". It is housed in a "4" ounce coin silver hunt case. It has a book value of up to $300. depending on condition. It has a nice silver French bow and the silver case helps the value also.

To add to what Jim mentioned, this particular run of production started on 9/1/1881 and ended on 2/28/1882.
1st serial number of this run was 1589001 and the last was 1590000. so yours was the 100th watch manufactured in this run of 999 watches.
      Nice watch,
      Dave
