This painting also has a number on the back, written in pencil near the top. It is # 3601. As I mentioned earlier, I have no other history or information on them. The folks at the yard sale that I purchased them at said they were in the basement when they bought the house.
They are both in excellent condition, and the colors are rich. They do not appear to have any fading to them.
nice brushstrokes and use of monotone for the night scene. i think it has something to do w/ Pancho Villa and his troops when they took on the us gov't.
