    The basket was given to me by my father in law. A website recently identified it as 1930's. I vacuumed out the inside which has what looked like cornmeal.

      Very nice Apache basket! It makes sense that there was cornmeal in it, they used baskets like this for ceremonies (as well as wedding baskets that were made to give to a couple to start out their lives together) and would put food or meal in them. These baskets are very collectable, and the one picture you put up shows this basket to be in great condition. Can you put up on of the other side? Thanks for putting a pic of this up :)
