Nice looking New Haven clock, I would lean towards the 1940's for your clock.

I have a chiming Ansonia wall clock. It has three holes to wind it up. How should it be wound up? It doesn't seem to last a week. It does chime. It has a key that I use in each hole to wind it up, but do not want to wind too tight. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your clock should be fully wound to run for at least 8 days.just wind all 3 springs and you will know when it's fully wound you can't turn it ant further.

I just inherited a clock that looks similar to yours. Could you tell me what the keyhole on the right side is for? I know the keyhole of the left is for winding the clock. Thank you.

I would think that this clock is german because of the style and the maker may be on the movement back plate, generally. The clock is probably likely to be 20's. Thanks, and great price too!
