    We found these in the garage of a house we bought! I know a doctor owed it so there real just not sure what the one in the dark box is??

      Stephanie14, forgive me, but I had to laugh when I saw the plastic handled scalpels listed as old medical equipment. I'm an RN (obviously an OLD one) and can remember when they first came out. We didn't have to autoclave the old metal handles that you had to put the blades on any longer, so they were a real time saver. *LOL* The one in the dark box was used to check vision, sort of an old version of an ophthalmoscope, I believe. They were used to examine the eye. Really can't tell you more about them than that since that really WAS before my time. :-)
