This is a fine old crate from days long before cardboard was king. I can't make out the address on the top, but it somehow ended up in my neck of the woods (estate sale a few miles away). One thing I found interesting when I vacuumed out the cobwebs, was that there is still straw packing pinched in the boards (pic 4). It would appear that it was opened upside down based proximity of the lettering to the missing wood. It measures 21" x 16" x 11" overall. If any one can help me with a time frame, I would appreciate it.
Thank You trunkman!
They certainly don't ship gum in wooden crates anymore. Cool!
Thanks Perry, mikie, Mani, and fuel. I checked around a bit but still haven't been able to put a time frame on this yet.
