She dates from very late 1930;s to 1940 . She is in very good condition for a composition doll. Does she have any crazing or cracks on her ? On the back of her neck or on her mid back you will see a name of company that produced her . I need to see a photo of that mark . She looks like a Effanbee doll maybe from Patsy Family I need to see her face sitting up . Can you see if there is a name on her and it may even be a girls name to ID what character she is . I will await your reply .
Did you look at back of her neck for a marking . It should be there ?
She has cracking on one leg. Please see the photo. There is light cracking on the bottom of her feet.
There are no markings. There is no name. The body is cloth under her garments. There seems to be a voice box on her back. She doesn't automatically talk.
I lifted her hair. There is no mark on the back of her neck.
Look under her hair on neck also ok .
Are all Patsy dolls marked?
There are cracks on her neck and some near her collarbone.
There aren't any markings on her neck under her hair.
She is in a brown box. There is a bobby pin in her hair. She has a wedding veil with her.
She is not Patsy but they made dolls called Patsy Family dolls . With names like Mary ect . Most had full composition bodies but a few did not they had cloth mid section, The box you feel is a crier . When it worked when you tipped doll or pressed it it made a crying sound . Which is why they are often referred to as Mama Dolls . Yours has lips much like patsy family doll and although usually marked it could happen she wasn't . Her eyes have crystallized but can be cleared up . These 1940's dolls are not as collectible as some dolls in market today .
What do you think the doll is worth?
Since we can't give value on this site I can give you a example similar to her . But I can say say it would not be real high .
This is close to yours but she has full composition body not the cloth mid section
See how she is marked . Yours will be called for general purposes an unmarked Composition doll with a Patsy doll mouth 1940's
