I found this necklace at the salvation a few months ago and threw it in a box with a bunch of other fresh purchases and forgot about it. My computer has been down for the last week so I decided to clean out my dressing room and I rediscovered this necklace. The necklace is wired and has no glue and it's in great shape. I wore it to work and got lots of complements on it but its so heavy half way through my shift I had to take it off. It looks like Haskell to me but I'm not sure what do you guys think? Happy Hunting!
Could be early Haskell. A lot of places/makers tried to copy her stuff though. You will occasionally find pieces marked Japan or Germany that look like they were Haskell pieces also. Have you been on Cathy Gordon's site? She has a lot of Haskell photos and some she claims are early Haskell but are not marked.
Thanks for comment I have been to Cathy's site and its a great one. After looking at the necklace with more detail I think its most likely from Germany the beads are strung to what looks like cork or wood and if it was a Haskell I think the balls would be metal. I tend to always hope for the best and I have found some great things for next to nothing. Oh well I still think its a great piece and I got it for a steal at least I can wear it now without worry. Thanks again and happy hunting!
Tried to email to you but, the message is getting caught by spam filters *sigh*
I'm sorry BluVamp, that's odd I've never had trouble getting e-mails from other collectors here on CW. I see what I can do about getting the filter lifted. Try me again. cisonn@yahoo.com.
