VMA stands for V-fixed wing, M-Marine and A- Attack Squadron . The aircraft is an AV8-A Harrier. The Marine Corps started using this British made aircraft in the mid to late 1970's. nice patch and nice jacket too. Thanks for sharing.

Your welcome, love the patch and loved watching these aircraft. These were the first "Hover" fixed-wing aircraft. There were loud, but watching an airplane take off straight up was very impressive back in the 1970's Well still is lol. Thanks again for stiring up old memories and sharing your patch.
