Just a few more pages from aunt Shirly's anniversary gift. The book she made is in rough shape so I salvaged the images that I could or should I say the ones that turned me on the most and used them in my book that I'm giving to my husband for Christmas. Thanks for looking, Happy Hunting!
I always liked realistic, detailed paintings and drawings (i'm not much for abstract art). The pinup artists of this period did excellent work. Maybe it's just using pen and ink instead of paint that allowed the detail. I really like the first one, is there an artist's signature on there?
I can remember these things being in the "Esquie" Magazines that my Dad bought....seems to me that most of those were done by Vargas....
OOPS ! "ESQUIRE"
Looks like the devil made him do it . . . LOL Very pretty girls back in the day . . . I just love the vintage risque'.
Merry Christmas vintagemad! :-)
