The cover of Pogo No. 8 from Jan-Mar of 1952 features two variations on mass transit. Albert thinks he's got the best rig by having a duck pull him (notice the warning bell he's attached to the bird's head) while Pogo gets a free ride on Albert's tail, which is kept afloat by a barrel. But the beaver family has it all figured out, as successively smaller critters sit their older sibling's tails.

Inside are a number of excellent Kelly sound effects. In a story called "The Big Rock Candy Quarry," Rackety Coon Chile mistakes Albert's tail for a banana (don't ask how...), prompting a rousing "EYOMPH!" from the alligator. Later in the story, we get two loud panels in a row; a "SWOOPSH!" and "WHAM!" when Churchy's wagon crashes into Albert, and a mighty "FWOP!" which is the sound of a pie smashing on the head of an alligator.
