      My guess is a birthing chair. I know...ugh! And that face carved on it, but with no epidurals back then, that's probably what every woman's face looked like. Certainly wouldn't want that as a reminder in the corner of my parlor room! I think the knob-like-flat things that stick out might be for your feet/toes (sitting forward or backward). They really came in a variety of shapes, so hard to tell. I'd like to know too what you find out. K-

      I have been looking at alot of chair pictures and i believe this is a hall chair of some kind because of the strait back would like to know more about when and were it was made, so i will keep looking, thanks for the help all, please keep me informed if anyone finds anything.
