I found this cool kitty wooden hand puppet some time ago. Condition is pretty darn good. The tan spot on photo 2 was an old piece of masking tape. It's off and gone with no residue to speak of.
I dunno who made it or from where it came from.
Fuzzy B as usual is not impressed with it! This is his feed, me pet me, let me sleep and let me ignore you look.
Any ideas on who made it, age, origin etc...?
    Thanks!

The Facial features appear to have been sprayed on or stenciled.

Your Wood cat is made like this one . Face a bit different but maybe they changed it or one of them copied another companies :-)

Fussy B... Fuzzy B He sometimes Feigns interest in things but only Momentarily.
He's No help at all with identification of items!
As for a character look alike ,Felix the cat works for me.

I found your cat . He is a Fischer price they did different versions . He had a paper label at one time but I am sure this is him :-) He is model 600 the 3rd version 1948 to -1950
FPT4297 - Cat constructed of black beads with white facial markings and a white bead on the end of his tail. The cat has a string through the middle. He pops up when the string is pulled, and goes limp when the string is released. The cat is mounted on a red guiter-shaped wooden paddle. There is a yellow label in the middle of the paddle that has "TAILSPIN TABBY POP-UP" and a Fisher-Price logo and #600 model number written on it.

LOL barefoot I don't know who that is but I do remember Twilight Zone . It was scary . No that is not me :-) I only like minature store manikins from the 40's with that deco look . I have collected many things through the years and doll and old toys have been high on my list of things I have collected . I think it starts from a generation that did not have lots of toys but because we had only one or 2 we remembered them so well and we remembered the ones our friends had . They were not collectible to us as no one collected really until taking off in about the 60's and 70's . So few toys survived and the ones that did not get thrown out give us insight into the past and how much a child may have loved that one toy . You Cat is older than me too !!!!!!!!!!!! :-) Geez I better hop right off this train before I sound old as the hills :-) Glad to help and will look forward to seeing your other posts .

      Cool Beans Miss Manikin !
My Mom had a Junk Tique" shop in Memphis.
I grew up junkin with Her. Early saturday morning had us cruising all over town picking up those cast aways. yard sales, estate sales and "dumster diving" wherever we could git it we got it! I've got her store stock and am sitting on hundreds of pieces of vintage clothing and etc...
It does get in your blod!
      Thanks again Mani!
