(1 item)
Small bottle (about 2" tall) full of 'scent(?)." Palmer's Gardenglo. This looks like it might have been the extract used to create the scent for a bottle of perfume. It is full. Does not appear to have ever been used.
I can't seem to find any other information on it. I was hoping someone here could tell me what it actually is and the era?
Thanks,
Brian
Hi rustnhere. Try googling for Salon (solon) Palmer and see if you can find your exact item. Seems they were a late 1800's to early 1900's cosmetic/toiletries company. I believe they also did compacts that are collectibles now. I found a link that took me to these:

Hope this helps a little! :-)
Thanks, Chinablue, for the response. Those links do help a little. I'm still curious about the purpose of this. Was it mixed with some other item to make perfume?
Maybe a perfume aficionado will stop by and can tell you more. I'm not that familiar with things of this nature. I'm thinking it's either a perfume bottle that has been filled with something (can't tell from the picture) just to keep it from being empty, or perhaps something used to make a sachet? I know that GardenGlo was only one of their fragrances. It first appeared in 1913. Orchid Lily in 1925 and Fiesta line in 1928. Try googling for images and see if you can find your particular item. Then check out the site where the image came from. Good luck and hopefully you'll find the information you're looking for or someone will know and share it with you! :-)
