Here is a large (14" tall, 9" wide @ top) and hopefully early (?) Quezal pulled-feather Jack in-the Pulpit vase. It has some incredible hooked-loop work on the back of the flower, which makes it hard to display so that you can see all the good parts, but that's not such a big deal. I really love the stretch-glass effect on the face and the evidence of the hand-tooling on the edges. This is an incredible study of the glassmakers art; and I hope a good early example of Quezal art glass? There is what appears to be an E on the pontil, but I don't see a number. Opinions? Enjoy!

dasullywon, thanks for posting your Quezal "jack". You can eliminate most of your question marks...you have a very good example: 14" is a great height for this model and it is an earlier example. The decoration is also very nice, vivid and sharp against a bright white/opal background. Usually these are just signed Quezal and most without letters although some have just a number. I do not see the "E" that you refer to, maybe post another photo and angle to show it better. Thanks again, you have no worries with this one. JJZ
Thanks JZZ; I'm glad to know this is an early one. The "E" is probably in my imagination, and it is probably just part of the Quezal signature I'm seeing. No worries. I'm going to design a mirrored stand for this one; so you can see the back and the front at the same time!
