i normally don't buy yellow but when i saw this bowl it was so well made i decided what the heck! lol...i can never have enough noritake! after i got it home i looked up the back stamp on line and learned that there was supposed to be a little underplate that went with it, so after about 2 weeks i went back to the place i purchased the bowl from and there it was!! i was soooo lucky :) apparently there is a little porcelain dipper that goes with it also but i never, ever find those or the porcelain spoons and trays :( i have a very small and lovely condiment set that i will post pics of....love this site! i also have miscellaneous saucers that i will post pics of....maybe someone will want to trade a saucer for a dipper or ?

I have a Morimura (early Noritake) serving bowl from 1924 that I think has a similar floral design, but I'm afraid I can't tell for sure from your photos. If I were to post a photo of mine, would you look and see if the flowers are similar? I'll try to post it later today or tomorrow. Mine has a 'luster' to it that I really love. Does yours have a luster or is it a normal glazing? Thanks for sharing it! :-)

Hopefully you'll find a dipper for yours. That's something I rarely see anywhere. I guess they don't preserve well. Thanks for answering my question about your piece. I'll try to get mine posted shortly so you can have a look at it. btw, I didn't mean to hijack your post.
