Hi, I am stumped as far as who made this doll and what it is exactly. From what I've looked at, it appears to be a Bisque doll, possibly french-styled? However the cloth is felt and the dress design is simple. The face seems similar to Belton and I was thinking that may be the maker or possibly Kestner but this doll is only about 8-9" tall not 19." If anyone has any clues or ideas please let me know.

Hi your doll is not an antique she is from 1970s to present . She appears to be a what was sold as a collectible doll . The painting and bisque is not correct to be an antique sorry to tell you but we are honest here and will tell you what we see . She is a nice decorator doll for on a shelf . She is not a kestner nor a belton . Just a marketed doll made to look old fashion . Thank you for sharing her she is cute :-)

That's amazing. The doll seems so old, it seems so aged. And looks just like one of the antique dolls.

yes they were meant to . They even can yellow them up a bit . She is not brand new so has a bit of age but just not a true German or french Antique doll . She does not really look like a antique doll if you know the painting and quality of bisque used on them . Although there are some artists that have come close enough to fool people if skilled enough . What are her legs made of ? and a photo of them and close up of face maybe I can ID who made her for you .

Ok, let me take some photos of her feet and her face up close. But I believe her feet are wooden but I'm not sure. Her hands looked so much like the old ones.

Ok, I've just added three more photos. A close-up of the face and two of the feet.

Hi, I accidentally unsubscribed from the e-mail updates. Does anyone know how to turn my e-mail updates back on?

Your doll is manufactured and I would keep with my first comment . From 1970- to 1990's . She almost appears to be made of hard plastic on close up but most likely a low grade porcelain . She is made to look antique doll and was meant to be a decor piece not a toy .

Oh I see, thank you very much for your assessment. Do you think she's worth anything, probably not?

No real money value but if you like her display her :-)

Well, as far as the doll decided to copy, they chose a pretty one good I guess. Too bad they tried to sell it as a fake and didn't just sell it as a remake. Maybe I'll just give her away. :)
