About 3 years ago at a garage sale in Camas, Washington, I came across a guitar case, which in and of itself didn't really interest me but upon opening it was pleased to see an acoutic guitar that was kind of dusty and well worn but with a threadbare elegance. The neck is birdseye maple, the body spruce with a walnut front neck (I am not a musician so don't know what the front of the neck is, maybe a fret?). I looked inside the "hole" and saw a label. It reads "Made by Calvin H. Collins Santa Barbara Calif 1933". The tag is typewritten and still attached to the instrument. I have not been able to find anything about the maker but would be interested in hearing if there is any history attached to man, other than the appearance that he knew what he was doing in 1933.
