I'm intrigued by this vintage sign found recently. I've always been drawn to 'antique' looking items and love to hear the stories behind an item that's been around longer than ?..... I'm new to the collector's world and would love to hear feedback from anyone who has seen a sign like this!
It's been fun browsing through the other treasures posted, and they each have a story :)

Its been cut down to fit into the frame, and was once a larger sign. Many times they did this to "back" a sign with metal or wood for a stiffener, to make it rigid. Henry Weinhard bought Portland’s oldest brewery,Liberty Brewery, and continued expansion of the Portland operations, then called the City Brewery. By 1890 the brewery was the largest in the Pacific Northwest and had grown from producing 2,000 barrels per year to 40,000 barrels that year.

If this sign were complete,it would be fairly valuable. It does still have value in its current state, however.Nice find!

Neat. thanks for sharing! I know the sign is metal (stuck a magnet to it!) and guess it may be from 1920. What's your guess on age and value?
