1953 Parker 51 Flighter pen and pencil set never used

Found these in my Dad's trunk. He got these in 1953 when he was in the service. These were packed away with some stuff he brought home when he got out of the service in 1954. Not sure if there is any value in this set. Can anyone give me more information on this set? I appreciate any feedback. Thank you
