Hi there, can you help me identify my grandmother's Singer? The serial number is F-5.352.296 and in attach there are some pictures. I would like to know if is collectors item, and how much it is worth if possibile. Thanks in advance.
This machine is a model 15K, one of 210,000 identical machines commissioned at the Kilbowie factory near Glasgow in Scotland, in the first half of 1914. The decals look quite worn. The treadle table top looks to be a replacement. This model is plentiful and wouldn't be highly collectible in the current condition.
Thanks Bernadette. Can you please suggest me which is the right top so I can try to find it and give it a original look? Thank you very much.
Singer sold treadle machines with buyer options on cabinet style and different timber options, which were different prices, but for that time period, I would expect the cabinet to be the type with 3 drawers on each side.
Thank you very much Bernadette!
Bernadette, something like the one in this image?

yes that shape but probably with decorative embossing on the drawers.
