A friend and I looked for Artifacts after a hard rain and here is what I found.

Its probably from The Archaic period if not much earlier. Thanks for the look!

I love the color with the bit of orange/red . Is it mozarkite ? I used to find these as a young girl in New Mexico and AZ not the color of yours it is striking . That is why I wondered where it was found . What a lucky find today as a young girl we traveled through the deserts every year cross country and you could find so many old Indian artifacts but not anymore . I collected them all and I guess one day my Mom threw them away on a move .

Its made of burlington that is usually a creamy white but this has heavy creek stain. The Southwest seems like a neat place. I have heard about wind blowing the sand around (hardpan?) and revealing lots of stuff. Thanks again:)
