Anyone know the model or year on this early Indian motorcycle?
Side marked with "Indian, Hendee Mfg. Co., Springfield Mass."
The image is an AZO photo postcard that dates from about 1905- 1918.
It looks like the owner had a minor accident-- the side shows some scrapes and a large dent near the back.

This is styled 1909-1912

Nice photo Scott!
Indian's first year for their V-twin was 1907, but this loop frame was first used by Indian in 1909. In 1913 rear suspension was used. I'd also put it in the '09-'12 range, probably 1909 due to the tank graphic style & no front suspension.

THOR made all Indian motors until 1908,then Indian Manufactured theirown motors in Springfiled MA,....

I will check my records,I am pretty sure I know the year of the bike but want to double check before i post it
Its a 1909 ,..Also 1913 was last year of Indian's Pedal start bikes
