I have one too and can't find anything on it. Would love to know the history an the Value of it. Thanks Dave in Chattanooga Tn.
I purchased a Concord Recorder back in 1963 and made many home recordings on it. I sold the recorder a long time ago and wished I didn't because I can't play any of these tapes on any other recorder. When I play them they come out backwards and I did not rewind them or transfer them in any way to make them sound like that. I'm looking on ebay for an old Concord so I can hear the voices of my family again. I tried sending the tapes through other recorders lots of different ways with no luck. re: backwards, upsidedown, etc. Anybody come across this situation?
I don't have my Concord near me at present but I was given one that is a tube type and I assume it was built in the early 60's. It is cream and brown colored, the Made in Japan logo is on the tape recorder. It comes in two separate pieces that hook have dark brown carrying handles. They are a bit heavy and are in almost absolutely mint condition. Can anyone give me an ideat what it might be worth? My superior technician says it looks as if it's not been played more than about three times. All I was able to find on in was a photo or possibly a schematic on it and that's it, on ebay. Do you know how many were made etc..
