    I have come across some really nice medals and patches..
    But not sure if this medal is a fake or real...
    and this patch, what does it represent??

      The patch is the American 98th Infantry Division, called the Iroquois Division. Currently it's a reserve unit. It was an active WWII unit that served in the Pacific theater, but mostly guarding Hawaii. It also deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

      I can't help you with the other item.
