Mother's family in Birkenfeld, Germany, was given this clock from the Birkenfeld Castle when it transitioned to government offices. It still chimes every hour and half hour!
The castle was built 1819 - 1821 and renovated in the sixties- when this clock joined our family.
Do you think it was made in the mid-1800's?
