    I bought this because I loved how it looked. I was wondering what it really was....the tag said Antique Candy form. It is all wood but the white eggs feel very smooth almost stone like. It is about 15 inches long and 4 inches deep. Does anyone know what this is and when it might have been used? Thank you in advance.

      Hi, I don't know what it is if it is a candy mold! Are the eggs possibly glass? Farmers have in the past placed egg substitutes in chicken nests. Could these be such eggs?

      The eggs are cool to the touch. Maybe stone? They definitely would warm up with body heat. I was thinking if candy, maybe fondant.

      Could it be an architectural mold, for making plaster egg-and-dart molding?

      Ok maybe it is THAT type of mold. That makes sense too. I will have to look it up. Thanks for your input.
