We bought this vase yesterday and it's beautiful! Looking at it in the evening artificial light it is pink, no sign of green at all! In the daylight there are differing amounts of green, depending on the light. We tried it under a UV light and you can see the results in the last two pics - the last one we put a small UV light inside it. The vase has at least two layers, the internal being pink and the 'squares' which are irregular, look like they are embedded in a second layer. We don't know enough about the making techniques to comment further. The overall effect is pearlescent, opalescent, silky, can't quite find the right word! The base is quite course in finish with a pontil. Sadly there is damage to one side of it, two small bruises. Nothing's perfect and we couldn't leave it in the shop, where it was unappreciated - the ladies serving thought it was very ugly! We think it might be Loetz because of the shape and finish.
    Any information would be appreciated.
PS We should have said this vase is about 10 and a quarter inches tall and about 6 and a half inches diameter. The mouth is 4 inches across.

It is a beautiful vase. Your description plus the photos, especially the UV photos makes me lean towards Burmese Glass..looks like a diamond quilt pattern. Probably English or Mt Washington...just my humble opinion. Would have to see a photo of the bottom also.
