This is a 1948 - 49 Packard that measures 5 -1/2 inches long. The model was made using the Slush Cast process giving it a weight of just over one pound. It is all original paint but the wheels may have been replaced.

It looks very similar to the larger promo version made by Model Caster so it may have been made by them.
Does anyone know who made this car?

Well, it's not Barclay, Hubley, or any of the "common" manufactures as far as I know. You might be on the right track with the maker, but I really don't know about this one.

I found a few others, but no one selling them seems to know who made them:

It's a very stylish toy, quite large for slush cast too.

Thanks, That's about what I found as well.
It's a little too large for my 1/43 collection but too cool to sell.

Thanks for the loves. I sure hope someone comes along with help. I don't think I ever had a toy I didn't figure out.
