When i saw pw-collectors post for the bumper car alarm clock i said "hea, that looks familiar!" I know these ar'nt the best pictures, but theres not much light & theres not much room. There actually in better shape than the pict.s show. Three Nash Metropolitan convertables. Just needing a ten year tune-up, maybe some of this, and some of that, and BAM!! Stylin in a gas friendly micro-cutie, top down, & FRYING in this Okla. heat! (no a/c, of coarse)
I have an old two car garage separate from the house -- would love to have an old beater sitting in it so I could just smell it when I entered and sit and touch the steering wheel -- you are three times lucky! (Must be that shamrock trunk)
thanks Sean, glad you liked it.
Same as yours adkmetalman!
its me lucky charms, trunkman! thanks, ill have to try that next time the wife wants to (nag, nag,na,n,) "NOTHING DEAR!"
thanks packrat , tony , & our living doll, the witty, pretty, musical kitty, Mani.
Thank you Mikie that was sweet ! I remember driving my Dad's old Nash into a telephone pole learning to drive standard shift with no license . I parked it quick with dent not showing and for a year my Dad wondered who hit his car . One day my Uncle happened to see this yellow /gold color paint on telephone pole near our driveway and oh yea it matched right up to the Nash . I was caught :-)
LOVE that story Mani, ive tried to hide a couple of my......or should i say, SOMEBODYS driving errors. Thank you. Mikie

This was a GREAT Art Deco car! Still see them from time to time here in California.
the Austin metropolitan Nash was made in england,it was my first car it was red and whit wish i still had it.
thank you zguy2112, i agree, it seems to be designed by the art deco movement!! This little puppy was just way ahead of its time. (gas mileage wise)
I know what you mean ralph, kinda wish i still had my little F-85 Olds. i bought in 75. Got that at a tow-shop auction for 66.00$ AND IT RAN!! (for a while)
thank you Marc112
Wow. Had one along time ago. Could not keep them all. Love them.
thank you billyg, for the nice comment!
you would look cute driving one of these Mani!
thank you vontrike!
the reason i changed from a metropolitan to a sunbeam rapier was when i was courting in it i put my foot in the dash board and set it on fire no enough room for courting.
Thats right ralph! not enough room for ANYTHING! still like to try to sqeeze a B.B. Chevy in one though.
My date to the senior prom drove one of these Metros ~ I'm sure her daddy got it for her for just that reason.... no room for hanky, much less panky. But man, did she smell nice!
thank you pencil-necked-geek, well somehow there was a baby-boom starting.
