Hello,
I purchased these items at an estate sale of a very elderly gentleman for $1.00 for both. Can anyone please tell me anything about them? There are no stamps that I can see. The vase weighs 4.2 lbs and the trifle? bowl 3.4 lbs.
Thank you so very much.
I have cut glass dishes that have this same pattern. If you do find something out, let me know. They are wonderful!
I have a modern cut class pitcher exactly like that with matching goblets. I imagine it's a copy of an older pattern. It looks like this design is timeless and classy!
This is pressed glass, Anchor Hocking's Wexford pattern, extensively produced in the 1980s. Good, usable glass.
As Paul71 pointed out, the pattern is Wexford by Anchor Hocking. Your "vase" it a 2 qt. pitcher and the "trifle" is a footed fruit bowl. The pitcher is currently valued at $35 and the fruit bowl at $30. Very nice pieces and very sturdy. Great buy! Enjoy!
Wow I'm glad I bumped into this! I was at a standstill with this glass my mom had and wasn't sure what it was called or how to price it. Thanks!
The jug I had exactly the same piece until we had a auction mine was quite heavy but it looked stunning when mixed with my other jugs of crystal & glass under light. To have the matching bowl lucky you.
I have a platter and glasses in that pattern, and barware too. I'll have to post a pic when I get it cleaned up. I don't know if it's the same if they don't have the scalloped edge.
I did not notice the bowl didn't have it but the jug does the same sort as the handle if I remember mine was yours seem to be from what I can see either way I still think yours is awesome. I used to have quite a assortment of did patterns in this era of glass.
I believe I have a LOT in this pattern... not sure yet. I just went through it quickly. It was my Mom's collection. When I do take pics, should I add to the collection or create a show and tell?
