I've had this pendant for a long time and I still enjoy wearing it regularly. Its really simple but it just fits anything.
I have no idea if it's really old: the 'stone' is some type of plastic and I don't know if it's original. The pendant self is silver filigree.
Any idea on it?
I certainly can't say for certain, but my first thought when I saw it was a rose quartz cabachon. After enlarging the picture, I also wondered if it might be shell. This is mainly due to what look like 'inclusions' around the edges. Whatever it is, it's lovely! I hope someone can tell you for certain what it is. Thanks for sharing this. :-)
Thanks a lot for your comments and for loving it chinablue.
But it really is some sort of plastic, maybe galalith or something like that: it doesn't feel cold like a stone and the inclusions you see around the edges are in reality cracks. So would love to know what period the pendant could be from...I don't think the stone has been replaced because the fitting looks all original and not touched.
My guess would be an old watch fob with coral.
Ah I never thought of it but it could indeed be an old watch fob. Thanks a lot AmberRose.
Thanks a lot BELLIN68, AmberRose, Hunter, bratjdd and Finelines for loving or liking it. It's one of those pieces that's not worth much but still very dear to me.
Thanks mustangtony and SEAN68 for loving my pendant! Its much appreciated
