My OCD! I was collecting Records as a kid many yrs back. Went into Military in 1980 spent 6 yrs away from Home and you guess it, Mother sold all my Albums. Well I just can't live without Vinyl so I started up again about 20 yrs back. And it has gotten to be my OCD but I'm not complaining! I spend at least 2 hrs a day with my Collection. Lost count but I'm around 15,000 at this time. I also upload Rare Soul, Jazz, Doo wop, Rock, Garage Band, on youtube under dizzydaves2007. Kids GRAB them Vinyls you never know how much it may be worth or HOW much Fun you can have listening to some Good Ole Tunes! Take it from Me, nothing like the Needle hitting the Vinyl, Snaps, Crackles and Pops!
Wow looks like my step dads wall of Lp's and 45's . When he passed away we had a hard time getting rid of them, even dealers were over whelmed . I kept the 45's and a couple of them that was music I liked . But could never have looked at all of them it would have taken a month . Your collection must already contain my Crusin LP :-) how could you have missed that one . I love Lp's also but storage is a problem for us so sold most of them . I still have quite a few but they were hand picked to save . I love yours !!! I would be in that room spinning out songs all day if I lived there :-)
LOL! I would have back a uhaul up to your dorr handed you Cash and been one Happy Camper, never over whelmed for albums and 45s'.! I search out Rare Northern Soul 45s' mostly. Some people don't realize that them 45s' could be worth some bucks if they are known as Northern Soul!. Rule of thumb, if it has a odd ball label or a label that looks cheap, then you may have a Gem! These one off labels back then were small operations in People homes, Garages and they recorded with these minor labels before moving up to Big time. So these first Soul recordings are hard to find if impossible. One that I still hope to find one day is Frank Wilson "Do I Love You". Frank recorded it on Soul label by Motown. Gordy was said to be upset about it so Frank had them tossed in the trash because they had no time to promote it, so goes down as the Rarest 45 out there! Check me out on Youtube! Dizzy
Dave picture your collection and then figure a wall from floor to ceiling tall and 15 feet long filled tight with Lp's ! That is an estimate of how his collection looked . He had a very rare LP he told my Mother which one it was but she forgot . he had said he was offered a lot of money for it and not to sell it . Well 100k Lps it seemed like she could not remember and it went to who knows where . And I will never know what the name of it was either . As My Mom passed shortly after him . I will watch for frank Wilson one for you :-) I love Motown and anything from late 50's to early 70's .
Join Popsike.com its Free and has all major selling albums and 45's on site with recent prices. Its like a Collector Bible! LOL
PS: I would have been like Velcro on them 15 ft shelves! I have some 45s worth 2000. to 4000. on open market so CHECK the Vinyls!

HEY DIZZYDAVE J Frank was a friend of mine. He had a Great and Powerfull Voice. The first time I met him he sat in and sang "Last Kiss" with us. He was a Good dude and didnt deserve the Shysters actions while he was in the Hospital after the tragic automobile crash that claimed the lives of some of his band members. I have some of his 45's and I may have the one your looking for----SOMEWHERE! If I run across it I will Post it. I have a wall full of L.Ps and about twice that many 45s. Are you anywhere near Texas??
Oh Man! Now you started something!! Love to get a autograph pic of him for my record room. Im in St Joseph, Missouri. If you find it POST IT! LOL
