Fairly old stereoview of Arlington National Cemetery. Doesn't have a date on it. Anyone have any idea?

That is a very moving picture. My first inclination was just to say that it is "old". I've been to Arlington National Cemetery many times. I have an Uncle buried there, but even before he died I would visit Arlington because I worked near there in Washington, DC when I was a teenager. The more modern headstones are thinner and taller. Not to mention there are far fewer empty plots these days.

But I looked at the writing on the sides of your stereoview and it says on the right side "Sold only by Underwood & Underwood". I put that into a search on Google and found some interesting stuff. Underwood & Underwood made a lot of stereoviews. At the very least, check out this page: http://www.stereoviewheaven.com/026/meetem4.htm

      Awesome stuff! Love it!
