Put a rocking chair in the back of this and there you have the Clampits "road-horse". (only rode to hard). This 1917 Willis-Overland 9-passenger touring car HAS SEEN BETTER DAYS! It was stored in a leaky flat-topped storage building for over 20yrs. until i rescued it about 7-8 yrs. ago. The add. in pict#4 is for a 1915 version, but BOTH have the famous "Knight" sraight 6 engine, which is probably the best part of this car. Check out the engine pict. carefully, see the gear-driven, compressor/water pump/magneto/distributor assembly, all tied together in-line! You gotta admit, THATS PRETTY COOL. You could haul (un-safely) 9 passengers by "flipping down" two small spring loaded seats attached to the back of the front seats. If anyone's interested in seing the int., ill post more picts. I luv your Overland! I found a restored 7 passenger 1917 Overland in a guy's collection in Winnemucca NV many yrs ago that my dad finally bought. Very nice car & good runner. Both dad & car are long gone but your pix brings back the memories. Thanks for the cool post!
