Another thrift store find:) square mini jug with an unfortunate chip on the spout. The bottom looks to have a 1 or line marking it. Not sure of its maker, but researching is part of the fun:)

Thanks!
Most probably Uhl, Zanesville Stoneware or Lewisville Stoneware.
The jugs/bottles were sold containing salad dressing, wine, liquor, juice, etc. Company that filled and sold contracted with all of the above listed companies to produce the jugs to their specifications. You'll find nearly identical examples for all companies w/ only slight differences in glaze color, clay type and glaze application. Makes it really had to pin down an attribution unless you luck into a marked example (Uhl). Uhl used a grayish tan clay. Both ZSC & LC used tan clay. From the pic, I'd guess ZSC for a starting point due to the distinct mold line.
One (or more?) Canadian companies also made some, presumably on contract, but clay fired to white.
Wow, thanks! :)
Thanks Scandinavian-pieces:)
